BROW CORRECTION
Brow Corrections are for individuals who have gotten previous work done on their brows and are hoping to correct/ cover up the underlying pigment.
We require a photo of your brows at their current state to be sent in for approval prior to booking. Not all previous work can be covered/ worked over. This could be for various reasons, including:
Scarring— scar tissue is completely different to work on and it can cause the pigment to “blow out” (spread) or can reject pigment completely. It’s very unpredictable and working over scars can sometimes worsen them.
Saturation— sometimes there can be too much old pigment in the skin and adding more can cause our new strokes to fully diffuse and disappear into the old work, resulting in an even darker cloud of pigment sitting under the skin. (Think trying to use a fine tip pen over a marker—you wont see it).
Technique— all artists have their own distinct style/technique and sometimes due to the stroke placement, shape, depth of the previous artists work we are restricted in what we can create over it. By doing so we run the huge risk of the old work pattern peaking through the new work—giving the illusion of two separate brows sitting over each other.
In cases such as these we highly suggest full removal of the previous work in order for us to give you a new pair of gorgeous, natural looking brows. We understand this could seem like a hassle, but keep in mind brows are an investment in yourself and you want to give yourself only the best of the best!
Note: In most cases, shading is required to aid in covering old work.
